Grand Hotel Roma

A room inside an imaginary hotel that illustrates new ways of hosting immigrants, able to create a

public space that appears impossible to implement by institutions.

 

On the walls of this room, fragments from three different experiences and places:

> the former sausage factory squatted by homeless coming from different places - and

transformed by artists in the magnificient MAAM - Museo dell’Altro e dell’Altrove;

> the Ararat cultural center realized by Stalker with a community of Curds refugees in a building part of the former slaughterhouse and together with artists and architects invited;

> the so-called Hotel Africa, a multifunctional space self-managed by a community of african migrants inside an abandoned building near the Tiburtina Station.

Three relevant and rich stories in which we invite you to enter, sitting comfortably on the bed of

Grand Hotel Roma, and reading its books.
